My career path has been incredibly enriching.

Carolina Campuzano
Editorial Designer, Yves Rocher, Mexico

Can you tell us about what you do at Groupe Rocher and your background, along with the qualities and skills you need to do your job?

I am responsible for designing printed catalogues containing commercial offers for Yves Rocher products, with careful consideration of design elements such as graphics, content, and visuals. In my role, it is essential to accurately capture the messages the brand wishes to convey to our customers, allowing me to adapt the design appropriately for the Mexican market while maintaining the distinctive French "touch" of the products. This position requires patience, adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to listen to others’ ideas.

I have always had a passion for design and photography. After earning my degree in Design and Visual Communication, I joined the Groupe Rocher in 2017, and my career path since then has been incredibly enriching.

How has the group supported you in your learning and what concrete actions have been most useful to you?

Throughout my time at the Group, I have received numerous training courses aimed at enhancing my technical skills, including photography retouching and proficiency in various design software. I learn a lot on the job, honing my graphic design skills through a variety of marketing and commercial campaigns, from product launches to Christmas promotions.

As a designer, it is crucial for me to regularly update my technical skills. I had long aspired to enroll in a Master's degree in Product and Model Photography in Mexico but was unable to afford it. Recently, however, I was awarded a sponsorship from Yves Rocher Mexico to pursue this master’s program! Our internal initiative called "2Cool4School" allows the company to finance nearly 100% of a certification program for employees who successfully compete for this opportunity.

To earn this sponsorship, I had to present my professional project to our board of directors and demonstrate the potential benefits for the company from investing in my education. Receiving such support from the Groupe means a great deal to me. I am now excited to apply my future learnings and contribute with stunning photography and design to Yves Rocher in Mexico.

What advice would you give to anyone who wants to go further with their learning?

Be daring, maintain your enthusiasm throughout your career journey, and don’t be afraid of making mistakes; they are the greatest teachers.
